AVML Trail n° 20

This is a really beautiful crossing along the Apennine ridge. Exceptional views spreading out from the open sea, almost at your feet, to a visual embrace of the Alps from the Maritime Alps to Valle d’Aosta. On clear days one can spot Corsica.

However, there are some negative aspects related to this geographical position. For example, it often gets very windy up here and mist can turn to thick fog quite suddenly, out of the blue. In winter the trail can become harder and even dangerous due to snow and ice.
